SL Fashion Police

As promised I preset you with my personal recap of Callie Cline’s Motorati Madness Celebration last Saturday night….or should I say…Motorati Sadness Celebration!Not only did we crash the SIM, there were a few party crashers and SL’s performance was in the gutter when Miss Cyberpink took to the turntables Hopefully other people were getting the stream ’cause she is a totally awesome DJ. As with any VIP Packed Party…Prims were at a premium as you’ll see in the following photos I’d like to submit to the evidence folders, which is unfortunate when the Fashion Police are on patrol….perhaps Callie should have asked everyone to check their Xcite at the door. LOL

Starting with Callie, who is seen here in what appears to be her homage to Peg Bundy meets Madonna’s Desperately Seeking Susan…the only thing missing are a pair of lacy cut off gloves!

Interesting fact I didn’t know prior to the party: Callie is a Pop Recording Star! That’s right! We got a taste of yet another talent of herds when the DJ played her song! I’ll need to give it another listen before I decide, but I’m pretty sure she blew Barbie and the Rockers completely off the charts!

Garbage may be too cool for school, but he wasn’t too cool to kick it in the VIP Cabana with me and my entourage Tenshi & Iris.

Over all, it was a good time and Callie sure knows how to throw a party. Sadly I couldn’t get to the after party as I was having some texture issues, but I heard it was a blast!! Thanks for the invite Callie and I wish you much continued success! <3

We got a anonymous tip off the other day that Maxim Magazine and Pontiac’s Motorati are planning an extravagant party this Saturday night 8pm SLT at CaLLie CLine’s beachside villa, Velocity – to celebrate their recent success. According to our sources, only the top SLebrities will be in attendance to this invite only celebration.

CaLLie CLine is fast becoming a notorious icon of our virtual world with the recent launch of CaLLiefornia, her induction into Maxim’s Hot 100, and what seems to be an endless amount of SL & RL press! Anyone who’s had the pleasure of bumping pixels with this bombshell knows that there is more to her than just good looks. Now if only we could take a page from Coke’s “Give the world a Coke” campaign and “Give the Metaverse some CaLLie wear”…well…scratch that – we’d be out of jobs!!

Seems that the organizers are so tight lipped about the event that it’s not even posted on their public website! No worries tho, we’re going under cover and will bring you all the juicy details!! With such a high concentration of VIPs chances are this party will be sprinkled with some of Second Life’s biggest fashion felons. Our SWAT team is on stakeout and in position to take immediate action on and an all forms of fashion faux pas.

Diva’s RezDay party was a blast last night. I was ummm fashionably late (couldn’t decide what to wear), but I quickly got into the swing of things. Lots of awesomely dressed (no, really) people showed and I think everyone had a fun time. Even the Lindens were on our side, and the rolling restart kept getting pushed back an hour in our region.

I thought the poor suckers who didn’t manage to make the party would like to see the pics of the cool people, so here ya go XD

That’s right folks!!! Today is my 1st Rez Day Anny and I’m super psyched!! One of my bestest friends, Hope Clary, has organized a kick ass party for me and you are all invited! Hopefully everyone can make it in, and LL doesn’t decide to take the grid outta commission!

The Party kicks off @ 6:30pm SLT with a Live performance from the super sexy Funky Rang !! Followed by DJ DoubleDown who is gonna blow the roof off from 7:30 – 9:00pm SLT. Dress: Old Skool Prom – and by this I mean formal fashion from the late 70s – early 90s. See ya there!

I gotta give a big shout out to Tenshi Vielle for sending me one of the best gifts a girl like me could use! Haha! A Photo booth! Yessah…and she wasn’t shy about helping me test it out either

Thinking about checking out Second Life’s fourth Birthday Celebration? I urge you to proceed with extreme caution!! I was fortunate enough to be offered the opportunity to visit the “fair grounds” two days advance of the general public. I’d like to send a big thanks out for that for two reasons.

1. Lag of astronomical proportions!

2. Saving me from the likes of possibly SL’s Biggest Fashion Felons!!

First Impression: WOW Look! A 9 Sim Sand Box!! When I first popped in I only had about 20 mins to scope it out before running to RL obligations. I popped in on Joel Linden, who was obviously star struck and beside himself coming face to face with me…didn’t even blink when I said hello!

Just before I poofed I bumped into a cute Bunny who gave me a copy of the TP map before she posted it up. Sorry I didn’t have time to stay & chat her up more.

When I returned that night I spent a lot of time navigating the sims. The exhibits are categorized by years and all quite Hodge podgey. Could have been mapped out a lil better, but there’s always next year. There was a monorail to ride, which made stops on a tour of stations spread through. I don’t recommend standing under the Elevator floor of the first station in SL Year 1…my head is still aching.

I learned a lil history in Year one about the first group of Furries.

I popped in and out on Friday when I had some time. I made my way over to year two, which seemed to consists of many sculptures… actually that’s pretty much all I remember it being, but like I said I was popping in and out so I’m sure I missed stuff.

I did not miss the freebie flying Pegasus….which I ended up flying over Edloe (My pal Crap’s inspiration) and it’s surrounding islands last night.

Saturday morning before the opening, I ventured thru Year Three…more sculptures and art – found this really cool display of a beach scene in a bottle.

(Special Mention: I stumbled into a cave and met the cutest lil Dragon Evah!! )

At the SLC (Second Life Children’s) exhibit I found the Biggest Bucket I’ve ever seen and just had to snap a shot in honer of my friends Jen & Corey of Bucket!

I crashed out and passed on going back to finish the tour. As soon as restricted access was lifted it was lagalicious. Couldn’t even cross sims. So I may occasionally check the map for down times, but for now I urge anyone visiting to proceed with extreme caution in the unmonitored region and ask that you submit all encounters with fashion 911s to SLFashionPolice@Gmail.com.

Hey All!

So, I received some news tonight that Bershka, an RL brand of clothes, will be released soon into SL soon! After checking out the RL Site I gotta say I am pretty excited to check this stuff out! The site, although a lil slow to load, has a very funky-retro groove going on and the clothes look super cute & flirty fun!

According to the Press Release ” Bershka will offer a complete subset of their real life clothing items every season with their woman, man, jeans and Bsk sections. The entire island will also be updated every season to keep up with the collection main theme. We will also have regular parties and events for the SL community in an effort to offer a good place for them and us to meet and discover each other.”

All this is being brought to life by Mosi-Mosi, unfortunately I do not read Spanish, but I’m still excited to see the line.

Over the past few weeks I’ve been hosting parties for Coca-cola’s Virtual Thirst Campaign, and therefor neglecting some other duties…this blog being one…but all that is coming to an end soon…too soon in fact! I’ve been having so much fun meeting new people and rockin out with friends at the Virtual Thirst Pavilion on the Crayon SIM these past few weeks…but all good things must come to and end (who ever decided that, should seriously be beaten LOL).

I’d like to invite you all out this Wed night for my final Rockin party.  The theme is International, so I am super excited to see the array of costumes that come through. I’m even giving up some lindens for best dressed!

The party starts at 5pm SLT and will go on and on till we can’t dance no more…umm…which is actually like forever!! Okay, let’s just say I’ll keep the tunes spinning as long as I have friends to party with!

I’m short on time so I’ll have to be vague on details and link you thru to more info…but I wanted to get this out since I’m wicked excited about the upcoming event!

I sent a notice out to the Fashion Bloggers this morning asking for volunteer judges in a Style Competition – I’m working with the uber cool people who are hosting Virtualive.TV and will be awarding $10,000 Lindens to the most stylish avatar at the event!!

Virtualive.TVwill take place on Thursday, May 10th @ 6pm SLT on the Morpheum Sim in Second Life.
